Adam and his crew, OAR Northwest, will row across the Atlantic Ocean, from Liberia to Venezuela, in December 2012. The 60-80 adventure will raise money for Right to Play while also promoting the benefits of outdoor adventure for youth and adults alike.

Adam’s team have partnered with the Canadian Wildlife Federation who share the goal of increasing the health of marine ecosystems and re-connecting the public to rivers, oceans and all incredible outdoor spaces.

Adam and his team complete their circumnavigation of Vancouver Island

Adam and the Oar Northwest crew have circumnavigated Vancouver Island. Adam has arrived back in Victoria, while the rest of the crew continued on to Vancouver where they will complete their journey before returning back to Seattle. This is the first time a four person crew has rowed around Vancouver Island.

Adam launches from Vancouver to circumnavigate Vancouver Island, BC

Adam and his OAR Northwest teammates departed Vancouver this morning to circumnavigate Vancouver Island, unassisted, on a 29‐foot ocean rowing boat. The crew will traverse and document the awe inspiring and challenging Inside Passage, also known as the “Grave‐yard of the Paciﬁc.” Their vessel is the most technologically advanced rowing boat in the world, equipped with solar panels, wind turbine power, state of the art scientific and communication equipment. This training adventure will serve as preparation for the team’s trans Atlantic crossing in December 2012. The crew can be tracked live and contacted through their website at OAR Northwest.com

Shaw TV will document this 25-day journey in an eight-episode documentary to air in April and May 2012.
